Escaping from Houdini Review

IMG_3847So i’m still pretty new at blogging but i plan to have a new blog up every friday. So Todays blog is my review of Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco.

I started the book yesterday morning i got to my job hours before my shift because i knew once i started reading well i wouldn’t be able to stop at all and i thought if i got there early and being able to read before my shift i won’t be late for work.

I fully started reading and i couldn’t put the book down which means to me that i was really into the story and the writing. I thought this book was wonderful and gave us the feels with Audrey Rose and Thomas. Which i needed with what went on with them in Hunting Prince Dracula.

Just to say that i actually finished the book yesterday all 431 pages. I was surprised because i finished it in about three to four hours which is a new world record for me because most of the time my record is a day for reading a book not hours.

This murder mystery this time made me so happy and giddy because they were coming to America and not in London because with these books they traveled everywhere which was nice.

All together the book made me happy to be a fan of these series and i try in my reviews not to give spoilers away to people who haven’t read the book yet or the rest of the series but i gave this book five stars on good reads.

until next Friday.

My Journey To Madison, CT

IMG_3834So i decided to go up to Madison, Connecticut to RJ Julia Booksellers where one of my favorite book authors was doing a book signing for her new book. Escaping from Houdini by Kerri Maniscalco.

I was nervous because i have never been to Madison before and  i also have never met an author of a series that i love to read before i have of course tweeted them constantly but this was the first time i was going to meet an author and get a book signed.

I of course worked yesterday a nice 9-4 shift at my job but it made me feel better working because i didn’t know what i would do if i had the day off. But i got off work at 4:00 and i made sure that i had enough time to get to the book store.

I finally arrived at 5:40 in the afternoon and found a parking spot right in front of the store and of course i didn’t have a copy of the book yet so i went to find where the event was taking place in the building and i bought two copies of the book. One which she signed then one that i could read a million times.

The event started at 6:30 and she was one the nicest people that i have ever met and she talked about writing the book and not believing that she was number 1 on new york time  list. She asked for questions she answered mine and then she signed books and gave out tarot cards with your signed books.

I also got two other books when i was there.

Until Next Time,

Katie
