So this year I actually started my bullet journal in January and not later. So my bullet journal set up is easy and simple and easy for me to understand.

When you open the journal up you see the 2019 page. When you turn the page you see this calander set up which is for new releases.

This is where I write down new releases and the date and title for when they are coming out. It’s easier for me to know when an awesome new release comes out.

Then once you turn the page you will come to my reading challenge goal an how many pages and star rating.

This is how I am able to keep track of my goal and what I do once I’ve finished the book and my star rating and how many pages were in the book.

So it’s offically 2019 and guess what its time for a new reading challenge and last year when i started the GoodReads reading challenge i started it in April when it was a couple months already in so this year i’ve actually started it in January.

This year i actually started on time in January of 2019 and i decided let me go crazy with the challenge this year and challenge my mind and reading which is why i decided to well make my reading Challenge for 2019 to be 155 books that i would need to read this year. Since today is offically Feburary 1, 2019 i could tell you that since i have started the new challenge i’ve finished 9 books, all in a span of a month.

This challenge has proved to me that i could read a certain amount of books in a month and that i am going towards a goal. For me i haven’t read a certain amount of books in a span of a year before which is why i want to do the challenge and that’s why i’ve been using Good Reads a lot for the past ten months.  I’ve always been a reader and i haven’t really done something like a reading challenge and doing it know i’ve fallen in love with reading more and i couldn’t be more proud of myself and how much my reading has changed me and what i’ve been accomplished.

Besides trying to read the 155 books in a year i am also going to be trying to read classics at least 16 of them.

So i have always had a problem with reading classics but i’ve been getting into classics as i got older and since i have not been in school and i’ve been on a reading kick as of last. Since this is going out on  2/1/19 i’ve already checked off one class and that was the Hobbit by JRR Tolkein.

This year i plan to get out of my comfort zone with my reading because i’ve always read just young adult fantasy that is why i want to read some of these classics that i am not use to reading.

I am excited to see where i am in six months which is when i’ll update you on my reading challenge for 2019.

Okay I didn’t know how much one book could destroy me and I was wrong. I started this book on a Thursday morning and I finished it at 9:30 that night. I read this book in one day and it’s one of the bigger books that I read by Cassandra Clare.

So this book takes place two weeks after Lady Midnight and Emma is pretending to be with Mark because well she doesn’t want to tell Julian that she still very much loves him. But it kind of not working because Julian still loves Emma.

We get to see the interaction of Kit and Jace and how Kit does not want to be here and be back home in the shadow market. Kit and Ty have started to be spending more time together and they want to be Sherlock and Watson.

The story moves a long very well and we see that Malcom Fade is still very much a live and he still wants to bring back annabell from the grave and he needs a black horn blood. We see that the children’s uncle Arthur will do the sacafice because even though he is being drove crazy so Arthur is killed by Malcom and annabell comes back to life and then kills Malcom.

We see that Mark, Cristina, Emma and Julian head to the unseelie court to save Keiran from his father even though some of them still hate him for what happened we know that Mark still has feelings and we get to see another love triangle form but this time i am not afraid to say that i love the triangle of love. They rescue Kerian and got brought to the seelie court and they meet with the seelie queen ( memories). Anyway Julian knows there is one person who could help him break the parabatai rune so he could be in love with Emma and not get in trouble well the Seelie queen tells him something which is bad because that means he will break all the parabatai runes for all shadow hunters.

The rest of the blackhorn children are sent to the London Instutue after everything that happened with Malcom. I love the scene with Kit saying who the hell is Will H who wrote in the books. ( Will Herondale). This book hit the feels for everybody in this family and at the same time i really couldn’t put this book down. Maybe that is why i was able to finish the book in one day.

So we see that the whole blackhorn family travels to Idris to try at least get Annabell to tell her story and that she was the one who killed Malcom Fade because Zara Deerhorn wants to take over the La Institute well they won’t let that happen and Keiren is ready to testify also and well Magnus has walked in on Julian and Emma and well let’s just say that they have to be seperated and Robert Lightwood is willing to help them because he has changed a lot since the Mortal Instrument series.

Ugh the ending of the book killed me and i will not spoil the ending for anybody because that’s something i won’t do because well i’m not the person who will do that because i wouldn’t want that to happen to me but let me tell you i couldn’t stop crying because the book killed me and well i’m not ready for queen of air and darkness but i know i have to read it at some point.

So thats my review of Lord and Shadows and i gave this wonderful book five stars even though it destroyed me body and soul and i’m not looking forward to waiting for three years to get the next series in this world.

So a couple weeks back i finally finished reading Cassandra Clares Mortal Instrument Series and well i love the series so much i decided to pick up the next series that Cassie did which was Lady Midnight. Which is the sequal to the Mortal Instrument series.

In this book we follow Emma and Julian and it’s been five years since we saw them at the end of City of Heavenly fire and they have grown up so much. We see that Julian is still very much taking care of his younger siblings even though his uncle is there and we find out some things we might not hae known before hand.

Emma is dealing with her feelings for Julian but she also never stopped looking for her parents killers and we see that someone has been making people kill humans in a bad way so Emma has gone to the Shadow hunter market even though Diana told her she couldn’t go because it was too dangerous.

Julian and his family went to England to visit their great aunt but Julian went because he needed to get away from Emma even though they are Parabatai he is growing feelings for her and that’s against the law and they can’t show feelings for each other.

The family comes back and then they get a shock of the lifetime when their older brother Mark is brought back to them by the wild hunt to help solve the mystery of who is killing the fairys and all other creatures and in the end Mark would be given a chance to choose where he would like to stay.

With Mark know back he has to adjust to being back home with his siblings who he hasn’t seen since they were such little boys. He feels like everything has changed and he wishes his sister Helene was there with them but she is still on an island away from the family.

Julian, Emma, Mark and Cristina start investigating everything that is going on and Mark starts to get these feelings for Cristina but the thing is when he was in the wild hunt he had a relationship with Keiran who is the son of the unseelie king who was given to the wild hunt and they started to have a relationship. Keiran realized he could loose Mark so he told the leader of the wild hunt something that was not true and Mark had to be whipped and well Emma and Julian were whipped instead.

When i read the scene when this took place because it broke my heart because you could see the great length that Julian would take to protect his family and you can also see what Emma would take to protect Julian and their bound.

After all that happened Emma and Julian kind of have a moment on the beach about how they both really love each other and well some good time was done on the beach. But the next morning both Emma and Julian realized the mistake they made and know that they could never be like that way because there is a parabatai curse and well that won’t end well for everyone.

Everyone has been trying to help and solve the case of who is killing these people and doing the acts that has been going on and we find out that the person who has been doing this was someone they thought was a friend and was on their side but he is not and he kidnapped Tavvy the baby brother of the family so the family goes to fight the guy ( not giving away all the spoilers).

Once defeated the family goes back and answer the quesions of Robert Lightwood who is there because he got an alert and he is not alone he has Jace and Clary with him.

Emma gets out of the house with Jem and Tessa who needed help turns out they found and lost Herondale and when they get to Johnny Rook who was from the Shadow Market we find him dead but his son Kit turns out to be an herondale.

All i have to say is that i loved Lady Midnight and i never realized i relate to a character so much because i am almost as Sarcastic as Emma is.

all together gave it five stars and my review for Lord of Shadows will be up next Friday so stay tuned for that.

So i have finally decided to read the next book in the throne of glass series which is Crown of midnight while i took break from reading all of Cassandra Clare series. I was so excited to go back to this world because i have loved Throne of Glass and i loved the novella that came before and in all honesty i was so excited to continue with the story.

So the book takes place a couple of weeks after Throne of Glass has ended which i like and we see that Caelena is already doing what the king wanted her to do which is kill his enemies and we realize that later on she was trying to save their lives because she didn’t think they should die and so when someone from her past is on the list of her to kill she realizes that she is being used.

She finally started to feel something for charol and knowing she can’t have the prince but one of the things that breaks my heart the most is that when her closest friend is murdered she tries to figure out who has down it and well this story has moved along so well and we have learned more about her past.

Dorian has learned that he might have powers and he doesn’t know how he got them and he understands that if he told anyone his father would kill him and so we see that he doesn’t want to tell anyone but it has come out to Caelena and she understands where he is coming from.

 

We learned why Caelena could see the dead queen and why she had to solve mystery and being able to save the world from the king  and she is being sent away and she really hated Chroal because she blames him for the death of her friend and he wants to protect her so he is going back with his father and running the counicl but realizes that he still cares fro Caelena.

Caelena has finally told someone of who she is and well lets say Chroal was suprised that she is who she is and i can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.

I gave it five star on good reads totally reccomend it.

ahhhh this book has absolutley destroyed me and made me realize that this series means so much to me and i  do not want it to be over. Seeing the climax of the series come to and end has all the feels. we also get to meet characters that are going to be in the next series and well it is a good segeway of forshadowing.

Ugh the drama that is in this book made me realize i did not want to put it down and that is saying something when i want to read even though i have to work but do not worry i was actually an adult and once i was done being adult i went right to being a reader again. We see that City of Heavenly Fire picks up about two weeks after City of Lost Souls and we start off with a new character that we have not met before name Emma she is a young girl who is training to be a Shadow Hunter in the LA instutue when one day her parents drop her off and the isntute is attacked by Sebastian and is Infernal Cup which when some one drinks from it they become an edarkened shadow hunter which means they are under Sebastians control.

Emma and her best friend Julian try to protect Jules younger siblings from Sebastian and Emma tells Jules to call the clave and she takes her family sword and tries to well kill Sebastian it doesn’t work because the older brother Mark is taken and their father is turned and well lets just say that nothing could stop sebastian.

That happens to be the first chapter and we then get back to our favorite group of misfits with Jace trying to meditate in Central Park with Jordan to get the Heavenly Fire that is in his body to well control his anger. Of course this doesn’t really work for Jace and we see that Alec is sad because  well he has broken up with Magnus and well he still loves Magnus and wants to be with him. We see that Clary and Jace are back to being together and Simon does not no how to define his relationship with Izzy.

The group gets the message that they have to go back to the institue because something happens and they all know its sebastian who they have been looking for with everything that has happened in Ireland. When they get back they are told they are heading to Idris because it’s not safe for shadow hunters to be in the instute because Sebastian is targeting them.

The group minus Simon heads to Idris where they see the testimony of Jules about what happened in La while Emma is not to happy that her best friend is being talked to and has to hold the soul sword to be able to tell the truth she gets angry and runs away while Clary feels what emma feels and follows her and you see them talk and you notice they are starting to get to know each other. Simon is still in NYC when he gets kidnapped by the new head of the vampires Maureen who is 13 and is obsessed with Simon but lukily enough the Raphael comes and gets Simon out only if Simon talks to Izzy and Alecs dad about Maureen.

Any way Izzy realizes that her dad hasn’t been with her mom and finally knows the truth also at the same time she doesn’t know if she could trust Simon.

So our favorite group of shadowhunters head to the demon world to take on Sebastain and rescue the people he kidnapped. Which happens to be Raphael, Luke, Jocelyn and Magnus.

so the group were able to make it to Edom because of the help of the seelie queen who they threatened when they realized she is working with Sebastian and so they make it to the other world and Clary and Jace realize how they are able to stop her brother once and for all and they can’t tell anyone about this so they have to keep it a secret.

They make it to Sebastians palace and it seems that Clary joins sides with her brother and she is going to be his evil queen. NOT turns out that it was all part of the plan was to make Sebastian realize that she was joining his side but when he wants a kiss from Clary she stabs him with her sword and Sebastain is all gone and it leaves Jonathon in his place.

They can’t leave Edom and so Magnus makes a deal with his father and Simon does the sacrafice instead and looses his memories and he is turned into a human again.

The book ends two years later at Jocelyn and Lukes wedding and Jace happens to be a herondale now and how Clary has not been the same since Simon decided to become human again.

Magnus and Izzy decided to tell Simon the truth and get some resembelnce of life back and clary is happy to have her best friend back.

Ugh this book killed me and i loved it so much but it was a great ending to the series and now i can’t wait to read her other series which i have started with Lady Midnight..

Okay let me tell you how much this book destroyed me but it also made me hate a character that i already did not like. City of Lost Souls takes place a couple days after the last  one and we see that Clary wants to keep looking for Jace who has disapperaed right along side Sebastian and well she is worried something must have happened.

Simon has no idea what to do because well he wants more from Izzy because he has wants more from her but well he doesn’t know what it is yet. Alec and Magnus well this time the relationship is complicated because Alec is realizing that his boyfriend is Immortal and will live forever while Alec will grow old and die one day.

So Alec being incredible stupid went and found camille the vampire and wants her help to make sure that they could turn Magnus Human and mortal. We can all see where this is going.

While Alec is trying to be an idiot who is in love we see that Clary finally sees Jace but here is the thing he is not alone he has sebastian who well is connected to Jace so if Jace dies then well so does sebastian and vice versa and well Clary has no idea what to do so she pretends to join sides with them to find the Jace she knows and loves and well it works because she finds out their plan and now has to stop them.

Simon summons an Angel to get a sword that will get Jace seperated from Sebastian and they won’t have to be killed at all.

Sebastian becomes angry at Clary because he realized she wasn’t there to be with him but to save Jace and he tells her the plan but the shadowhunters come and they have a fight in Ireland and well Sebastian creates his own cup well that turns shadowhunters into endarkened and well he flees and Jace is back with Clary and well they get back together.

Sad thing is Malec breaks up because Magnus has realized what Alec was doing and so he ends the relationship because if Alec doesn’t trust him then what should be in a relationship.

Also Jace know has Heavenly Fire in his body which he doesn’t know how to control.

all together five stars on good reads and totally reccomend this book and the series.

So war storm takes directly after kings cage and I still had a lot of feels from that boo.

Anyway I love how Victoria Aveyard writes and how she makes you want to be friends with these characters. The whole time I was reading this book i did not want it to end.

I’m still a full supporter of Mare and what she has stands for and fighting for what she wants. By the end of this series I loved characters I didn’t know I would love and hate characters I would hate.

This is the last book in the red queen series and I hate that it’s ending but maybe down the road we will get more from the universe

All together I have it five stars on good reads.

So i am almost all caught up with the Mortal Instrument series and i’ve finally finished book four. I didn’t realize that this book went by way fast for me. I got really into the book so it didn’t take me to long to finish.

So i’m pretty much caught up with the book and the tv show because this last season was a lot of the fourth book and i was able to figure out what was happening and seeing what the book did differently.

I realized that in the book it gave Simon two girlfriends who didn’t know they were both dating Simon at the same time but also when they found out they wanted nothing to do with him but if he was in trouble they both decided they had to save him.

Clary and Jace went to see the Silent Brothers and help get Jace treatment while in the TV show Jace never went to see the silent brothers. In this book we got to see Brother Zachariah and get a hint about who he really is and how he is different from the other silent brothers. We see Clary helping her mom and Luke plan their wedding while in the television show Jocelyn has died.

Lillith is still the bad bitch who wanted to bring her son back to life and the way to do that is use Simon because he has the mark of cain and being able to bring Sebastain back . Even though Clary has tried to stop her she couldn’t do it because Lilith had Jace under her control until Clary was able to get through to him and in the televison it was because it was Magnus who was able to get the hold from lillith out of Jace.

Well obvisouly this book eneded with a chliffhanger of Sebastain being back and he has Jace and called him little brother which made me feel ugh. i want to hate him because he has Jace and we just got Jace back.

All together i loved this book and i didn’t want it to end but i am excited for the fifth book because it means that i am almost done with the series. Am i sad yes because i don’t want this series to end but at the same time i’m loving it since it’s the first time i’m reading the series and i’m excited to start Cassandra Clares other books.

On good reads i gave it five stars and i totally reccomended this book and the series to all of my friends and i’m exicted for what the next book holds for me.

Well who knew that Phillipa Gregory wrote a historical young adult series. Not Me. I knew i wanted to read more by her and i found out she did a yound adult series so i decided to pick it up from my Local Library.

So when i read changling it took me two tries to start reading but when i started i really couldn’t put it down this series is really intresting it takes place in the 1400s Italy during the sieze of the Otterman empire. A young man who is on a quest for the pope all the while he meets a young whomen who is charged with witchcraft. these two have Chemistry but they are not allowed to act on what these feelings are because Luca is going to be Priest.

In book 2 Stormbringers the group tries to save another mystery while Luca and Isolde are still trying to stay away from each other but their feelings are still there bt are trying not to act on them. They solve why a Tsunami came and flooed a small town while children were killed because they believed a child prophet who thought he saw a vision and was told by god.

Book 3 Fools Gold the group has made its way to Venice while Luca has his next task by the church to see who is making fake gold. While Isolde is found by one of her brothers men but she doesn’t want to leave so they stop him from taking her. While in Venice Luca is trying to find information on his parents in hope they are still alive. While in Venice they are trying to figure why Lucas master sent them there and they find information about alachmey and how its turn into gold. we also see that Israqu is  getting upset that Brother Peter is not allowing her to study just because she is a women.

This book was a young adult novel that i really did not know existed and well i am happy that i picked it up. All together i liked the series i didn’t love it. the first book  took me so long to get into which was hard for me but i kept going because i loved the author and when i made it to the 100 page mark of the first book then i was able to say i got into the book. This story does hit on a lot of historal knowledge and about Religon and on what some women were able to do during that time.

Do i reccomend this series to people yes and no it really depends on who would love to read a young adult novel that has romance and religion in it.

So this is my thoughts on the order of darkness series by Phillipa Gregory.
